Eight People Seriously Injured In Skinheads Vs. Punks Fight At THE EXPLOITED Concert
June 20, 2007Bulgaria's Pro-Rock magazine reports that eight people were seriously injured in a fight that erupted between "skinheads" and "punks" during a concert by the punk legends THE EXPLOITED at Universiada Hall in Sofia, Bulgaria earlier tonight (Wednesday, June 20). According to the report, the altercation began around 9:00 p.m. (local time) and involved around 20-30 skinheads. The young men used glass bottles, chains and other metal objects as weapons before the police stepped in and prevented the fight from spreading to other parts of the venue. Six of the injured were hospitalized. Remarkably, the concert went ahead as planned, and THE EXPLOITED along with the support acts — which included HARMFUL (featuring ex-FAITH NO MORE bassist Billy Gould on guitar) and MONDO GENERATOR — played regular sets with no other incidents reported.
